Senior Pastor, Weldon L. Tisdale Sr.

A strategic thinker, visionary, and businessman, who is blending his natural talents with his spiritual gifts to fulfill the call that God has on his life.  Although raised under a primarily Pentecostal structure, Tisdale distinctly recognized the sovereign mandate on his life to widen his spiritual parameters, reaching people of varied backgrounds and cultures.

Educated in the Tulsa County School System, he continued his formal education at Yale University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Organizational Behavior. Tisdale, continuing his pursuit of knowledge, attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, receiving a Master’s of Business Administration degree. Additionally, Pastor Tisdale was bestowed an Honorary Doctoral Degree from Oral Roberts University School of Theology, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Skillfully blending faith and academia, God has gifted Tisdale with the ability to take listeners through the Holy Script, causing the Word of God to leap from the pages of timeless manuscript and challenging partakers to “See More”.

Tisdale’s vision of the church at large and what the church can become, with effective and efficient leadership and follow-ship, has expanded to new levels of faith and favor.  He has been groomed for greatness and postured for prosperity, allowing God to take his thought and his faith beyond the average, having had personal encounters with God that has forever changed his life for the better.

An emerging 21st Century leader, Tisdale is the Senior Pastor of the Friendship Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma and recently appointed to the office of State Overseer of Oklahoma with the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr., International Presiding Bishop.

Pastor Tisdale is married to the delightful First Lady, Demetria "Mechy" Tisdale and they are the proud parents of daughter, Whitney and son, Weldon, Jr. (Chip).
